Screenprinting starts with artwork,which is normally done on a computer, then transferred to film & then exposed onto a screen for printing.
We use a Digital method called Digitex, Images or logos are printed onto a stretch vinyl using a high end Inkjet printer & then the shape of the logo is cut out using a vinyl cutter. These are then heat pressed onto the garment, cap or any item that can be heat pressed.
A very economical method of printing a small number of shirts is using Vinyl lettering. This is cut out using a Vinyl Cutter & then heat pressed onto the garment.
Pad printing although unknown to many people, is probably the 2nd most common method of printing next to offset printing. It is the preferred method of printing plastics. Car Dashboards, Computer Keyboards, Pens, Golf Balls & numerous other items are Pad Printed.
